How to Draw a Skull
Draw a skull in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the skull.
Step 1: The skull
In the middle, draw a big skull: a wide round dome, tucked in at the cheeks, a narrower jaw below.
Step 2: Two big eyes
Below the dome's middle, draw 2 big round eyes, an eye apart, each with a black dot and shine.
Step 3: Heart nose
Between and under the eyes, draw a small upside-down heart for the nose.
Step 4: Toothy smile
Under the nose, draw a U smile from eye to eye and a deeper curve below it, with 3 teeth.
Step 5: Cheekbones
Inside each cheek, draw a short curved dent below the eye, stopping before the smile.
Step 6: A crack
From the top of the dome, draw a short zigzag crack down to the right, stopping well above the eye.
Step 7: Two sparkles
Draw a small 4-point sparkle on each side of the skull, not touching it.
Step 8: Ground line
Under the chin, draw a straight ground line that sticks out past the skull on both sides.
Step 9: Sand skull
Go over your lines. Colour the skull sand, and leave the eyes and the nose white.
Step 10: Yellow sparkles, grey nose
Colour the sparkles yellow and the heart nose dark grey. Your skull is done!
