How to Draw a Skier

Step 1: Egg head

Near the top of your paper, in the middle, draw an egg for the head, narrower at the chin.

Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and skis.

Step 2: Face

Draw 2 oval eyes with black dots and shines. Add a tiny U nose and a smile.

Step 3: Woolly hat

Over the top of the head draw a woolly hat with a band at the bottom and a pompom.

Step 4: Neck and puffy jacket

Draw 2 neck lines. From them draw round shoulders and a jacket down to the hips, leaving arm gaps.

Tip Add a zip down the middle and 2 lines across, so it looks puffy.

Step 5: Long sleeves

From each shoulder and armpit, draw a sleeve down to the wrist, bending softly at the elbow. Add a cuff.

Tip Leave the top of each sleeve open, so it grows right out of the shoulder.

Step 6: Mittens

At the bottom of each arm draw a thick mitten, round like an egg, with a thumb bump pointing in.

Step 7: Ski poles

From just above each mitten, draw a long pole slanting out, down to near the bottom. Add a ring.

Tip Stop the pole at the mitten and carry on below it, so the mitten holds the pole.

Step 8: Ski trousers

Start at the jacket's bottom left. Draw 2 trouser legs with a point between. Stop at the bottom right.

Step 9: Boots and ground

Under each leg draw a tall boot with the toe pointing out. Draw a long ground line under the boots.

Step 10: Skis

Under each boot draw a thin ski pointing out. Keep it flat on the ground, with the tip curving up.

Step 11: Peach skin, pink cheeks

Colour 2 pink cheeks. Colour the face and neck peach around them. Leave the eyes white.

Step 12: Yellow skis, red jacket

Colour the skis yellow. Colour the jacket, sleeves and top of the hat red. Leave the pompom white.

Step 13: Navy mittens and trousers

Colour the hat band, mittens, trousers and boots navy. Go over your lines, and your skier is done!
