How to Draw a Chibi Fairy

Step 1: Big round head

Near the top, a little to the left, draw a big wide egg for the head.

Tip A chibi head is huge: about as tall as the rest of the fairy.

Step 2: Huge shiny eyes

Low on the head draw 2 tall oval eyes. Add a ring, a black pupil and 2 shines in each.

Tip Leave a gap about one eye wide between the eyes.

Step 3: Little smile

Start just below the eyes, left of the middle. Draw a small U smile and stop right of the middle.

Step 4: Short hair

Draw the hair over the top of the head, down to each cheek. Add a fringe of 3 soft locks.

Tip Rub out the head line inside the hair.

Step 5: Petal dress

Under the chin draw a little dress, narrow at the top and wide below. Give the hem 4 round petals.

Tip The body is tiny next to the head.

Step 6: Short arms

From each shoulder draw a short arm reaching out and down. End it in a round mitten hand.

Tip Bend each arm a little at the elbow.

Step 7: Star wand

From the right hand draw a straight stick out to the side. End it in a star with 5 points.

Tip Draw the star like a starfish: 5 points, all the same size.

Step 8: Little wings

Behind each shoulder draw 2 leaf wings: a big one pointing up and out, a small one pointing down.

Tip The wings are behind her: stop each line where it meets the head, an arm or the dress.

Step 9: Legs and shoes

Below the hem draw 2 short legs, a little apart. Give each one a round shoe.

Tip Each leg gets a little thinner towards the shoe.

Step 10: Ground line

Start left of the shoes. Draw a ground line under both shoes and stop past the right shoe.

Step 11: Peach and pink

Colour 2 pink cheeks. Colour the face, arms, hands and legs peach. Leave the eyes white.

Step 12: Yellow star, blue wings

Colour the star yellow. Colour all 4 wing leaves light blue.

Step 13: Pink dress

Colour the dress and the 2 shoes pink.

Step 14: Brown hair

Colour the hair brown. Colour the rings in the eyes brown too. Your chibi fairy is done!
