How to Draw a Sister

Step 1: The head

Near the top of your paper draw a big egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.

Tip Make the head big: about a third of the whole sister.

Step 2: The face

Below the middle draw 2 big eyes with black dots and a lash each. Add a U nose, smile, brows.

Step 3: Bob hair

Start beside the left eyebrow. Loop down to the chin, up over the head, and stop beside the right eyebrow.

Tip Go down beside the cheek, round a soft tip, then up and over the head.

Step 4: Fringe

Start where the hair began. Draw a soft curve across the forehead and stop where the hair ended.

Step 5: Hairband

Start on the hair's left edge. Draw 2 curves side by side over the top, down to the right edge.

Step 6: Neck and top

Start under the chin and draw 2 neck lines down to the shoulders. Add a top with puffy sleeves.

Step 7: A heart

In the middle of the top draw a small heart.

Tip 2 round bumps at the top and a point at the bottom.

Step 8: Skirt

From the top's bottom corners draw a skirt flaring out to a curved hem. Stop at the other corner.

Step 9: Arms and mittens

Start at each sleeve. Draw the arm down, round a mitten with a thumb, and back up to the sleeve.

Tip Keep a little gap between the hand and the skirt.

Step 10: Legs

Start at the hem and draw 2 lines down for each leg, getting narrower. Stop at the ankle.

Step 11: Shoes and ground

Under each leg draw a round shoe with the toe pointing out. Add a long ground line under both.

Step 12: Peach skin, pink cheeks

Colour pink cheeks, then the face around them and the neck, arms and legs peach. Leave the eyes white.

Step 13: Yellow top, red heart

Colour the top yellow around the heart. Colour the heart, the hairband and the shoes red.

Step 14: Blue skirt, brown hair

Colour the skirt blue and the hair brown. Go over your lines and your sister is done!
