How to Draw a Flexing Arm
Draw a flexing arm in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the sleeve.
Step 1: The sleeve
On the left, below the middle, draw a short sleeve: a rectangle with soft corners, taller than wide.
Tip Leave the whole right side of the page for the arm.
Step 2: Upper arm and bicep
From the sleeve draw a big round bicep hill on top, and a long line underneath round to the elbow.
Tip The hill stops where it dips down. The underside ends with a round elbow.
Step 3: The forearm
From the elbow draw the forearm up. Round the wrist and come back down to the dip.
Tip The forearm starts wide at the elbow and gets narrower toward the wrist.
Step 4: The fist
On top of the forearm draw a big fist, wider than the wrist, flat on top with 3 knuckle bumps.
Step 5: Thumb and fingers
Draw a thumb across the front from the left edge, then 2 short finger lines down from the dips.
Step 6: Sleeve stripe
Across the sleeve, near its end, draw 2 straight lines from the top edge to the bottom for a stripe.
Step 7: Power lines
To the right of the forearm draw two short straight lines, like little sparks of strength.
Step 8: A sparkle
Above and left of the fist draw a little four-point sparkle star, like a twinkle of strength.
Step 9: Peach skin, yellow stripe
Colour the arm and fist peach, and the stripe on the sleeve yellow.
Step 10: Red sleeve
Colour the sleeve red around the yellow stripe. Go over your lines and your flexing arm is done!
