How to Draw a Shy Face
Draw a shy face in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper, draw a big soft egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave room underneath for two hands.
Step 2: Two ears
Halfway down each side of the head, draw a C ear. Add a small C inside each.
Step 3: Eyes looking away
In the middle of the head, draw 2 oval eyes. Put a black dot in each, over to the right.
Tip Both dots sit on the same side, so the eyes look away shyly.
Step 4: Brows and small smile
Above each eye, draw a soft eyebrow that lifts a little in the middle. Lower down, draw a small smile.
Tip Keep the smile small and closed.
Step 5: Blush lines
On each cheek, beside the smile, draw 3 short slanted lines.
Tip These little lines show the cheeks going warm and pink.
Step 6: Round hair
Start above the left ear. Draw the hair up and round over the head, down to above the right ear.
Step 7: Soft fringe
From the hair's left end, draw 2 swoops across the forehead, meeting at a small point, to the right end.
Tip Rub out the head line inside the hair.
Step 8: Two hands
Over the chin, draw 2 mitten hands, fingertips just under the smile, thumbs pointing out. Add 2 finger lines each.
Tip Rub out the chin line inside the hands.
Step 9: Two sleeves
From each hand, draw a sleeve down to the bottom, a little wider as it goes. Add cuff lines.
Step 10: Shy shoulders
Between the hands, draw a small U collar. Then draw 2 round shoulders lifted up high, down to the bottom.
Tip Shoulders lifted up towards the ears look shy.
Step 11: Pink blush, peach skin
Colour a big pink patch on each cheek. Colour the face, ears, neck and hands peach. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Teal top, brown hair
Colour the shirt and both sleeves teal. Colour the hair brown. Go over your lines to finish.
