How to Draw a Jumping Person
Draw a jumping person in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper, in the middle, draw an egg for the head, narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave room on both sides for the arms and legs flung out.
Step 2: The face
Below the middle of the head draw 2 big eyes with a shine. Add a small nose and a smile.
Step 3: Tufty hair
Start on the left of the head by the eyes. Draw round tufts over the top, stop on the right.
Step 4: Neck and T-shirt
Draw 2 neck lines. From the left one draw a T-shirt with short sleeves, up to the right one.
Step 5: Arms up
From each sleeve draw an arm up and out, bending a little at the elbow, thinner at the wrist.
Step 6: Hands in the air
At the top of each arm draw a mitten pointing up, round like an egg, with a thumb bump inside.
Step 7: Shorts
Start at the shirt's bottom left. Draw shorts: down a little, across, up between the legs, back to the shirt.
Step 8: Legs flung out
From the shorts draw 2 legs kicking out in a V, bent at the knee and thinner at the ankle.
Step 9: Sneakers in the air
On each ankle draw a sneaker with a round toe pointing out. Add a sole line and a lace line.
Step 10: Whoosh lines and ground
Draw a ground line well below the feet. Add 2 short whoosh lines under each sneaker, not touching it.
Step 11: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Dab 2 pink cheeks. Colour the face, neck, arms, hands and legs peach around them. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Yellow T-shirt, green shorts
Colour the T-shirt yellow and the shorts green.
Step 13: Red sneakers, brown hair
Colour the sneakers red and the hair brown. Leave the soles white. Go over your lines and you are done.
