How to Draw Blowing a Kiss

Step 1: The head

Near the top of your paper, draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.

Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.

Step 2: The face

Draw 2 big eyes with dots and shines. Add a tiny U nose and a small 3 for kissing lips.

Step 3: Soft hair cap

Start on the head's left side. Draw round tufts over the top, stop on the right. Add a hairline curve.

Tip Round bumps like little clouds, not spikes.

Step 4: Neck and T-shirt

Draw 2 neck lines under the chin. From the left one, draw a short-sleeved T-shirt ending at the right one.

Step 5: Arm at the side

From the left sleeve, draw 2 lines down to the wrist. Add a round mitten hand with a thumb.

Tip The arm gets narrower at the wrist.

Step 6: Bent arm

From the right sleeve, draw the arm down to a round elbow, then straight up to under the chin.

Tip Stop both lines at the wrist, a little below the mouth.

Step 7: Hand at the lips

On the wrist, draw an open hand with a thumb sticking up. Its fingertips touch the lips.

Step 8: A flying heart

Up right of the face, draw a floating heart. Add 2 short puff lines between the hand and heart.

Step 9: Trousers and belt

Start at the shirt's bottom left corner. Draw 2 long trouser legs, stop at the right corner. Add a belt.

Tip The legs reach nearly to the bottom of the page.

Step 10: Shoes and ground

Under each trouser leg, draw a shoe with the toe pointing out. Add a long ground line under both.

Step 11: Peach skin, pink cheeks

Colour the cheeks pink. Colour the face, neck, arms and hands peach around them. Leave the eyes white.

Step 12: Red and blue

Colour the T-shirt and the heart red. Colour the trousers blue.

Step 13: Brown hair and shoes

Colour the hair, the belt and the shoes brown. Go over your lines. Mwah!
