How to Draw a Smiley Face
Draw a smiley face in 9 easy steps, about 7 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the face.
Step 1: The face
In the middle of your paper, draw one big round face, nearly as big as the page.
Tip Go slowly: one round shape, nice and big.
Step 2: Two eyes
Above the middle, draw 2 tall oval eyes a gap apart. Colour them black, leaving a white shine in each.
Step 3: The big smile
Below the eyes, draw a huge U smile from side to side, with a straight line across the top.
Step 4: Teeth
Just under the top line, draw a gentle curve from corner to corner for the bottom of the teeth.
Step 5: Tongue
At the bottom of the smile, draw an upside-down U for the tongue, starting and ending on the smile line.
Step 6: Eyebrows
Above each eye draw a short curved line like a little rainbow for a happy eyebrow.
Step 7: Shine
Near the top left, a finger inside the edge, draw a short line curving along it for the shine.
Step 8: Pink cheeks, yellow face
Colour the tongue pink and add 2 pink cheek ovals. Colour the face yellow, around the eyes, cheeks and mouth.
Step 9: Red mouth
Colour the mouth red around the tongue, leaving the teeth white. Go over your lines, and you're done!
