How to Draw Praying Hands
Draw praying hands in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: 2 palms.
Step 1: 2 palms
In the middle, draw 2 palms pressed together: a wide box with a line down the middle.
Tip Leave room above for tall fingers and below for sleeves.
Step 2: Pointing fingers
Start on top of the palms, at the middle. Draw 2 tall fingers side by side, tips touching.
Step 3: Middle fingers
Beside each tall finger, draw another finger a little shorter, starting and stopping on the palm.
Step 4: Ring fingers
Beside those, draw a shorter finger on each hand, from the palm up and back down.
Step 5: Little fingers
On the outside of each hand, draw the shortest finger, from the palm up and back down.
Tip The fingertips step down like stairs on both sides.
Step 6: Cuffs
Across the bottom of each palm, draw a thin slanted box for a cuff, tipping down and out.
Step 7: Thumbs
Start on the middle line, just under the fingers. Curve up, out and down. Stop at the cuff.
Tip The 2 thumbs sit side by side in front.
Step 8: Sleeves
From each cuff, draw a wider slanted box going down and out for the sleeve.
Step 9: Peach hands
Colour both hands peach, right up to the fingertips.
Step 10: Light blue cuffs
Colour the 2 thin cuffs light blue.
Step 11: Blue sleeves
Colour the 2 sleeves blue. Go over your lines and your praying hands are done!
