How to Draw a Shop
Draw a shop in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the shop front.
Step 1: The shop front
Start low on the left. Draw a big wide block, stopping level with the start. Add a flat roof ledge.
Step 2: The sign board
High on the front, draw a long flat sign with a star in the middle and a dot each end.
Step 3: The awning
Under the sign, draw a strip with 5 bumps from one wall across to the other. Add 4 stripe lines.
Tip Awnings are striped like a stick of candy.
Step 4: The big window
Below the awning on the left, draw a wide window to the bottom. Add a middle line and a shelf.
Step 5: Things in the window
On the shelf and below it, draw things for sale, a few round things and little boxes in a row.
Step 6: The door
Below the awning on the right, draw a tall door to the bottom, with a square window and a knob.
Step 7: A hanging sign
From the right wall, draw a short straight arm. Hang a flat board from it on 2 short strings.
Step 8: Ground and plant
From the left edge, draw a ground line under the shop, out to the right edge. Add a potted plant.
Step 9: Cream walls, yellow signs
Colour the walls cream, around the sign, awning, window and door. Colour both signs yellow, around the star.
Step 10: Sky windows, green plant
Colour the windows sky blue and the plant leaf green.
Step 11: Red stripes, brown door
Colour the star and every other stripe red. Colour the door, ledge and pot brown, around the door window.
