How to Draw Shaved Ice

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw shaved ice in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the paper cup.

Print

  1. Step 1: The paper cup

Start top left. Draw a slanted side down, along the bottom, and up to top right. Add an oval rim.

  2. Step 2: A dome of ice

From the left end of the rim, draw a big bumpy dome, wider than the cup, to the right end.

Tip Keep the bumps soft and round, like snow.

  3. Step 3: Syrup on top

Start on the left edge of the ice. Draw a wavy line with 3 drips, stopping at the right edge.

  4. Step 4: Three syrups

From the top of the ice, draw 2 curved lines down to the drippy line, making 3 syrup patches.

  5. Step 5: A spoon

From the top right of the ice, draw a spoon handle leaning out, with a round end.

Tip The bowl of the spoon is hiding inside the ice.

  6. Step 6: Two bands

Draw a gentle curve across the cup below the rim. Draw another just above the bottom.

  7. Step 7: The table

Draw a long line under the cup, from well left to well right.

  8. Step 8: Yellow and sky blue

Go over your lines. Colour the middle syrup yellow and the cup sky blue.

  9. Step 9: Grey spoon, red syrup

Colour the spoon grey and the left syrup red.

  10. Step 10: Blue syrup

Colour the right syrup blue. Leave the ice under the drips white. Your shaved ice is done!
