How to Draw Cinnamon

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw cinnamon in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a board.

Print

  1. Step 1: A board

Just below the middle, draw a wide flat oval board, with space left at both sides of the page.

  2. Step 2: A stick

On the board draw a long fat stick leaning up to the right, with a round left end.

Tip A cinnamon stick is a rolled-up tube of bark.

  3. Step 3: Its end

On the stick's top right end draw a tall oval across it, for the round end of the tube.

  4. Step 4: Curl inside

Inside the end oval draw a little spiral curling in to the middle, for the rolled bark.

  5. Step 5: Second stick

Across the low end of the first stick, draw a longer, flatter stick with an oval end on the right.

Tip Rub out the first stick under the second one.

  6. Step 6: Second curl

Inside the second stick's oval end draw a little spiral curling in to the middle.

  7. Step 7: Seams

Draw 1 long seam line along each stick, from its round left end to its oval end.

  8. Step 8: Sand board

Go over your lines, then colour the board sandy.

  9. Step 9: Tan ends

    Colour both oval ends tan.

  10. Step 10: Brown sticks

Colour both sticks brown, around the tan ends, and your cinnamon is done!
