How to Draw a Habanero
Draw a habanero in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the lantern.
Step 1: The lantern
Draw a big pepper like a lantern: round shoulders with a dip on top, a soft waist, a pointed tip.
Tip A habanero is small, wrinkly and VERY hot!
Step 2: The cap
In the dip on top draw a little cap with 3 soft points hanging down over the pepper.
Step 3: The stem
Start on top of the cap. Draw a thick stem curving up to the left, with a flat end.
Step 4: Shoulder pleats
Start at the cap's side points. Draw 2 curved lines down over the shoulders and stop at the waist.
Step 5: The pucker
Start at the bottom tip. Draw 2 short curved lines up from it, one each side, and stop soon.
Step 6: A shine
Inside the left shoulder draw a long thin oval sliver for a shine, following the edge.
Step 7: A second pepper
On the right draw a smaller lantern the same way, tucked behind the big one. Its tip is level too.
Step 8: Its cap and stem
Give the small pepper a cap with 3 soft points and a thick stem curving up to the right.
Step 9: Its pleats
Draw 2 curved pleat lines from its cap to its waist, and 2 short pucker lines up from its tip.
Step 10: The ground
Draw a ground line under both peppers from well left to well right, just touching their tips.
Step 11: Orange peppers
Go over your lines, then colour both peppers bright orange around the caps, leaving the shine white.
Step 12: Green stems
Colour both caps and both stems green, and your habanero is done!
