How to Draw a Shark Tooth

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a shark tooth in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the jagged crown.

Print

  1. Step 1: The jagged crown

Start at a sharp tip. Draw tiny zigzags down to a wide flat bottom, then zigzag back to the tip.

Tip The jagged edges are what make it a shark tooth.

  2. Step 2: Two big eyes

Below the middle of the triangle, draw 2 big egg eyes close together, each with a black dot and shine.

  3. Step 3: Open smile and cheeks

Start under the eyes. Draw a flat-topped U, a tongue bump that touches both its sides, and 2 cheeks.

  4. Step 4: The root

Start at the bottom's left corner. Draw a wide low band with a small notch, back to the right corner.

Tip Make the root only a little wider than the crown.

  5. Step 5: Sparkles

Beside the tip, draw a little 4-point sparkle on the right and a tiny one on the left.

  6. Step 6: The sand line

Start near the left edge and draw a long sand line under the root, to the right edge.

  7. Step 7: Red mouth, pink cheeks

Go over your lines. Colour the tongue and 2 cheeks pink, and the mouth red around the tongue.

  8. Step 8: Cream crown

Colour the crown cream, going around the mouth and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.

  9. Step 9: Sandy floor

Colour everything under the sand line a sandy yellow, right to the edges of the page.

  10. Step 10: Tan root

Colour the root tan. Your shark tooth is done!
