How to Draw Flip-Flops
Draw flip-flops in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: 2 footbeds.
Step 1: 2 footbeds
On the left draw a tall footprint shape, wider at the toes. Draw another just like it on the right.
Step 2: Sole edges
Inside each footbed draw a second line all the way round, a finger in from the edge.
Step 3: 2 big eyes
Low on the left flip-flop draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a white shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile, and a tiny flat oval cheek out beside each end.
Step 5: Toe posts
Near the top of each flip-flop, a thumb down from the tip, draw a small circle for the toe post.
Step 6: The straps
From each post draw 2 fat straps down to the outer edge, like an upside-down V, above the middle.
Step 7: A little flower
On the right flip-flop draw 5 little petal ovals around its post, like a daisy.
Step 8: Sun and sparkles
In the top right corner draw a sun with 4 short rays on its left side. Add 3 sparkle stars.
Step 9: Yellow and sky blue
Colour the sun and sparkles yellow, the footbeds sky blue around the straps, face and flower. Leave the eyes white.
Step 10: Pink and blue
Colour the petals and cheeks pink, and the edge bands blue, around the sky footbeds.
Step 11: Red straps
Colour the straps and both posts red, around the petals. Your flip-flops are ready for the beach!
