How to Draw a Shape Cat
Draw a shape cat in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a circle head.
Step 1: A circle head
Near the top of your page, a little left of the middle, draw a big circle for the head.
Tip This cat is built from shapes: circles, triangles, an oval and a rectangle!
Step 2: Two triangle ears
Draw 2 triangle ears on top of the head. Each one starts and ends on the circle.
Step 3: Circle eyes
In the middle of the head draw 2 circle eyes. Add a black dot and a tiny shine in each.
Step 4: A triangle nose
Below the eyes, in the middle, draw a small triangle nose with its point at the bottom.
Step 5: A smile
From the nose's point draw a short line down. Under it draw a U smile from left to right.
Step 6: An oval body
Under the head draw a tall oval for the body. Start and stop on the head's circle.
Tip Make the oval a little narrower than the head.
Step 7: Circle paws
At the bottom of the oval draw 2 small circle paws side by side. Rub out the oval inside them.
Step 8: A rectangle tail
From the right side of the body draw a long thin rectangle tail, slanting up to the right.
Step 9: Straight whiskers
On each cheek draw 2 short straight whiskers. Start beside the nose and stop inside the head.
Step 10: The ground
Start left of the cat. Draw a long ground line under the paws, stopping past the tail.
Step 11: Yellow and pink
Go over your lines. Colour the 2 triangle ears and the rectangle tail yellow. Colour the triangle nose pink.
Step 12: Orange cat
Colour the circle head and the oval body orange, around the eyes. Leave the eyes and paws white.
