How to Draw a Triangle
Draw a triangle in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: flat bottom side.
Step 1: Flat bottom side
Start near the left edge of your page. Draw a long straight line across and stop near the right edge.
Tip Use a ruler if you have one.
Step 2: A faint guide
Start at the middle of your line and draw a faint line straight up. Stop near the top.
Tip Make the faint line a little shorter than the bottom line.
Step 3: Left side
Start at the left end of the bottom line. Draw a straight line to the top of the faint line.
Step 4: Right side
Start at the top point and draw a straight line down to the right end. Rub out the faint line.
Tip All 3 sides are the same length. Measure them and see!
Step 5: Two big eyes
Inside the triangle, below the middle, draw 2 big egg eyes side by side with a small gap.
Tip Keep the face low down, where the triangle is wide.
Step 6: Shiny pupils
In each eye, colour a big black dot. Leave a little white shine in it.
Step 7: Big smile
Leave a gap under the eyes, then draw a wide U smile from under one eye to the other.
Step 8: Rosy cheeks
Beside each end of the smile, draw a small sideways oval for a cheek.
Step 9: Sparkles
In the empty space on each side of the top point, draw a sparkle star with 4 points.
Step 10: The floor
Along the flat bottom side, draw a floor line from far left to far right.
Step 11: Pink and yellow
Colour the 2 cheeks pink. Colour the 2 sparkles yellow.
Step 12: Purple triangle
Go over your lines and colour the triangle purple, around the pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Tip A triangle with 3 equal sides has 3 equal corners too.
