How to Draw a Shamrock
Draw a shamrock in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the top leaf.
Step 1: The top leaf
Above the middle of your paper draw a heart with its point down. Start and end at the top dip.
Tip Each leaf is a fat heart pointing to the middle.
Step 2: Two more leaves
Draw the same heart twice more, one leaning down left and one down right. Their points meet the first.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the top leaf draw 2 big egg eyes. Add a big black dot and a white shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile. Add a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: The stem
Start between the 2 bottom leaves. Draw 2 close lines down that open out a little to a round foot.
Step 6: Leaf lines
A little way out from the middle, draw one short line into each bottom leaf.
Step 7: A ladybug
On the right leaf draw a circle. Add a head on top, a line down its back and 4 spots.
Step 8: Ground and grass
Draw a gently curved ground line under the stem. Add 3 curved grass blades on each side.
Step 9: Sparkles
Draw a sparkle star left of the top leaf and another low down on the right, for luck.
Step 10: Cheeks and ladybug
Colour the cheeks pink and the ladybug red with a black head.
Step 11: Sparkles and leaves
Colour the sparkles yellow, then the 3 leaves leaf green around the cheeks and ladybug. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Green stem
Go over your lines. Colour the stem green, and your lucky shamrock is done!
