How to Draw a Seal
Draw a seal in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper draw a big soft blob for the head, wider than tall. No ears!
Tip Make it big: the head is half the seal.
Step 2: Nose
Low on the face draw a small wide oval. Add a little black nose on its top edge.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Halfway down the head draw 2 big round eyes above the oval. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: Smile and whiskers
Start under the nose, draw a short line down, stop at a w smile. Add 2 whiskers each side.
Step 5: Blubbery body
Start at the left cheek. Draw a big pear body, wider than the head. Stop at the right cheek.
Step 6: Two flippers
From the side of the body, draw a paddle down to the bottom and back up. Do both sides.
Step 7: Tummy
Draw a big oval on the tummy, between the two flippers.
Step 8: Tail flippers
On the right, start behind the flipper. Draw 2 fat round lobes going out, and stop under the flipper.
Step 9: Ice
Draw a thick ice slab. Start at the left flipper and go across under everything to the tail.
Step 10: Cream and blue
Colour the tummy and the face oval cream, around the nose. Colour the ice light blue.
Step 11: Grey seal
Colour the rest of the seal grey, around the cream. Leave the eyes white.
