How to Draw School Supplies
Draw school supplies in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the notebook.
Step 1: The notebook
Just left of the middle, draw a tall box with soft corners, twice as tall as it is wide.
Step 2: Spiral rings
Along the top edge, draw 5 little upright ovals, evenly spaced, half above the edge and half below.
Step 3: A happy face
On the lower half, draw 2 big round eyes a finger apart. Add a U smile and 2 cheeks.
Step 4: The label
Above the face, draw a small wide box with soft corners. Put 2 short lines inside it.
Step 5: The ruler
On the left, draw a tall thin box leaning on the notebook. Add tick marks down its left edge.
Tip The ruler is long and thin, much taller than it is wide.
Step 6: The pencil
On the right, draw a long slanted box leaning on the notebook's top corner. Add 2 lines across the top.
Step 7: Pencil tip
At the pencil's bottom, draw 2 slants to a point level with the notebook's bottom. Add a tiny dark tip.
Step 8: The ground
Start left of the ruler and draw a long ground line under everything. Stop past the pencil tip.
Step 9: The eraser
On the ground between the notebook and the pencil, draw a small eraser block. Add a line across it.
Step 10: Cream label, pink eraser
Colour the label cream. Colour the eraser, the pencil's rubber end and the cheeks pink.
Step 11: Yellow pencil, tan ruler
Colour the pencil yellow. Colour the ruler and the pencil's wooden tip tan, with a black point.
Step 12: Grey rings, orange cover
Colour the rings grey. Colour the cover orange around the rings, label, eyes and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
