How to Draw a Cat Bed
Draw a cat bed in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the bed.
Step 1: The bed
In the middle of your paper draw a big soft oval, wider than tall, with a flatter bottom.
Tip Round every corner, like a plump pillow.
Step 2: The cushion
Inside, near the top, draw a big oval cushion. Leave a band all round, thickest at the bottom.
Step 3: Front dip
Under the cushion's middle draw a shallow U, starting and stopping on the cushion line. Rub out the line above.
Tip This is where the cat steps in.
Step 4: Two cat ears
On top of the bed draw 2 pointed cat ears with soft tips, one on each side.
Tip Make both ears the same size.
Step 5: Inside the ears
Inside each ear draw a smaller pointed shape, standing on the bed.
Step 6: A ball of yarn
On the cushion draw a round ball of yarn. From its right side draw a wiggly loose thread.
Step 7: Yarn lines
Across the ball draw 3 curved lines, each from edge to edge, like wound wool.
Step 8: Paw pad
On the front of the bed, under the dip, draw an oval paw pad.
Step 9: Four toes
Above the pad draw 4 small round toes in an arch.
Step 10: Ground line
Draw a ground line under the bed, from left to right, a little wider than the bed.
Step 11: Cream and pink
Go over your lines. Colour the cushion cream around the ball. Colour the paw print and inner ears pink.
Step 12: Blue yarn
Colour the ball of yarn light blue.
Step 13: Purple bed
Colour the bed and the ears purple, around the pink parts. The bed is ready for a catnap!
