How to Draw a School Desk
Draw a school desk in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: desk top.
Step 1: Desk top
Above the middle draw a long flat plank with soft corners, from near the left edge to past the middle.
Tip Leave room on the right for a chair.
Step 2: Storage box
Under the plank draw a wide box, a little narrower than the plank and 3 times as tall.
Step 3: 2 big eyes
On the box draw 2 big round eyes, a finger apart. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile, eye to eye, and a little oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Thin desk legs
Under each end of the box draw a thin leg straight down, a bit longer than the box is tall.
Step 6: Chair back
Right of the desk draw a tall chair back: a tall box with a rounded top, higher than the desk.
Step 7: Seat and legs
Under the chair back draw a flat seat on 2 short posts, with a thin leg under each end.
Step 8: An apple
On the desk draw a round apple. From its dip draw a short stem up and stop. Add a leaf.
Step 9: The floor
Draw a floor line under all the legs, from the left edge across to the right.
Step 10: Wood desk and seat
Go over your lines, then colour the desk top, chair back and seat wood brown.
Step 11: Red apple, pink cheeks
Colour the apple red and the cheeks pink.
Step 12: Blue box, grey legs
Colour the box blue around the eyes and cheeks, leaving the eyes white. Colour the legs and posts grey.
Step 13: Green leaf
Colour the leaf green. Your school desk is ready for the first day!
