How to Draw a Scared Face
Draw a scared face in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper, draw a big soft egg for the head, full cheeks, narrower at the chin.
Tip Make it nearly two thirds of the page tall.
Step 2: Two ears
On each side of the head, below the middle, draw a C ear, starting and stopping on the head.
Step 3: Wide eyes
Halfway down the head, draw 2 big round eyes an eye apart. Put a tiny dot in each.
Tip Tiny dots make the eyes look scared.
Step 4: Worried eyebrows
Above each eye, draw a short eyebrow sloping up toward the middle of the face, well above the eye.
Step 5: Nose and wobbly mouth
Below the eyes, draw a tiny U nose. Just under it, draw a small open mouth with a wobbly top.
Tip Keep the mouth small and close to the nose, well above the chin.
Step 6: Sweat drops
Beside each side of the head, draw a teardrop flying off, point up, with a tiny one below it.
Step 7: Hair cap
Start on the left of the head by the ear. Draw soft tufts over the top, down to the right.
Tip Soft bumps like little clouds, not spikes.
Step 8: Hairline
Start at the same left point. Draw a gentle curve across the forehead above the eyebrows, stopping at the right.
Step 9: Neck and shirt
Under the chin, draw 2 short neck lines. From each, draw a shoulder sloping out. Add a U collar.
Step 10: Peach skin, blue drops
Colour the face, ears and neck peach, around the mouth. Leave the eyes white. Colour the sweat drops blue.
Step 11: Brown hair, purple shirt
Colour the hair brown and the shirt purple.
Step 12: Red mouth
Colour the inside of the open mouth red. Go over your lines, and your scared face is done.
