How to Draw a Police Officer
Draw a police officer in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper, in the middle, draw an egg head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 small eyes, a tiny nose and a smile. Each C ear starts and ends on the head line.
Step 3: Peaked cap
Draw a tall cap over the head, eyebrow to eyebrow, with a flat top. Add a band, visor and badge.
Tip The visor curves under the front; the round badge sits on the front.
Step 4: Neck and shirt
From a short neck, draw a shirt with short sleeves, down to the waist. Add a collar at the top.
Step 5: Tie and badge
Under the collar, draw a knot and a tie hanging to a point. Add a star badge on the chest.
Step 6: Arms
From each sleeve, draw 2 lines down to the wrist, bending gently at the elbow and getting narrower.
Step 7: Mitten hands
From the outer wrist, draw a round mitten and a little thumb pointing in. Stop at the inner wrist.
Step 8: Trousers and belt
From the shirt hem, draw 2 trouser legs down and back up to the hem. Add a belt and buckle.
Step 9: Shoes and ground
Under each leg, draw a shoe with the toe pointing out. Add a ground line under both shoes.
Step 10: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Add pink cheeks, and colour the face, ears, neck, arms and hands peach around them.
Tip Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Yellow badges, sky shirt
Colour the badges and buckle yellow. Colour the shirt sky blue around the star and tie.
Step 12: Navy cap, black shoes
Colour the cap and trousers navy around the yellow, then the visor, tie and shoes black. Go over your lines.
