How to Draw Lips
Draw lips in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the top lip.
Step 1: The top lip
Start at a point on the left. Draw a wide soft M with 2 bumps, ending on the right.
Tip Make it wide: the lips stretch most of the way across.
Step 2: The bottom lip
Start at the left point. Draw one big U under the M, swooping down and up to the right point.
Step 3: Under the top lip
Start at the left point again. Draw a gentle curve across to the right point, dipping in the middle.
Step 4: Open the mouth
Start on that curve near the left point. Draw a smile curve across, ending near the right point.
Step 5: Teeth
Between the 2 middle curves draw 3 short lines straight down for the gaps between the teeth.
Step 6: Side teeth
Each side of those lines, draw one more short line down, so there is a little tooth at each end.
Step 7: A shine
On the left of the bottom lip draw one small oval, tilted like the lip, for a shine.
Step 8: Red top lip
Colour the top lip red, right into both bumps.
Step 9: Red bottom lip
Colour the bottom lip red around the shine. Leave the teeth and the shine white.
Step 10: Dark mouth corners
Colour the little triangles at each corner of the mouth, beside the side teeth, black.
