How to Draw a Sandcastle
Draw a sandcastle in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the big tower.
Step 1: The big tower
In the middle draw a big block with 5 square teeth along the top, like a bucket castle.
Tip Teeth go up, across, down, across, like a zigzag with flat tops.
Step 2: Two towers
On each side of the big tower, touching it, draw a shorter block with 2 square teeth on top.
Step 3: The door
In the middle of the big tower draw a door: up from the bottom, rainbow over, and down.
Step 4: The flag
From the middle tooth draw a pole straight up and stop. Off the top draw a triangle flag pointing right.
Step 5: Rainbow windows
Draw 4 little rainbow windows, all level: one in each side tower and one each side of the door.
Step 6: The sand
Under the castle draw a long wobbly sand line, from near the left of the paper to near the right.
Step 7: Two shells
Below the sand draw a shell at each side: a bumpy-topped fan, with 3 lines down from the dips.
Step 8: A spade
Right of the castle draw a spade blade on the sand. From its top, a stick up to a bar.
Tip Leave a gap between the spade and the tower.
Step 9: Waves
Low on the paper draw a long wavy line for the sea, from near one side to near the other.
Step 10: Sand castle, pink shells
Colour the towers sand, going around the windows and the door. Colour the shells pink.
Step 11: Red flag, blue spade
Colour the flag red and the spade blue.
Step 12: Brown door and windows
Colour the door and the 4 windows brown. Your sandcastle is done!
