How to Draw a Sandcastle Mold
Draw a sandcastle mold in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the sand tower.
Step 1: The sand tower
On the left of your paper draw a tall tower: a box a little wider at the bottom.
Step 2: Two big eyes
In the middle of the tower draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a black dot in each.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile. Add a small flat cheek below each eye, near the edge.
Step 4: Battlements
Start at the top-left corner. Draw 3 square teeth and stop at the top-right corner.
Step 5: The door
Start on the bottom of the tower, under the smile. Draw an arch door and stop on the bottom.
Step 6: The flag
Start on the middle tooth and draw a short pole straight up. Stop and add a small triangle flag.
Step 7: Upside-down bucket
On the right draw a box, wider at the bottom. For its oval top, start top-left, curve over, stop top-right.
Step 8: Sand pile
Start on the ground left of the bucket. Draw a low sand hill and stop on the ground past it.
Step 9: A little spade
On the pile, right of the bucket, draw a spade. Start at the blade, go up, end with a bar.
Tip Leave a little gap between the spade and the bucket.
Step 10: Ground line
Start a little in from the left edge. Draw a straight ground line, stopping just past the sand pile.
Step 11: Sparkles
Draw 3 little 4-point sparkles in the sky around the castle.
Step 12: Sandy tower
Colour the tower and the pile sandy yellow, around the eyes, cheeks and door.
Tip Leave the eyes white.
Step 13: Pink and yellow
Colour the cheeks pink, and the flag, bucket top, spade and sparkles yellow.
Step 14: Red bucket, brown door
Colour the bucket red and the door brown.
