How to Draw a Sandal
Draw a sandal in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: two footbeds.
Step 1: Two footbeds
Draw 2 tall foot shapes, wide at the toes, round at the heels, dipping in where they face each other.
Step 2: Sole edges
Inside each footbed draw a second line all the way round, a finger in from the edge.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the left sandal draw 2 small egg eyes inside the inner line. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile, and a tiny flat oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Toe straps
Near the top of each sandal draw 2 wide straps across, from edge to edge, one above the other.
Step 6: Ankle straps
Near each heel, start at one side, draw a wide rainbow strap and stop at the other side.
Step 7: Buckles
On the outside end of each ankle strap draw a small square buckle across the strap.
Step 8: Two sparkles
Draw 2 little sparkle stars, one in the top left corner and one in the bottom right.
Step 9: Cream and yellow
Colour inside each footbed cream, between the straps. Colour the sparkles and buckles yellow. Leave the eyes white.
Step 10: Pink and tan
Colour the cheeks pink and the edge band of each footbed tan, around the cream.
Step 11: Brown straps
Colour the straps brown, around the yellow buckles. Your sandals are ready for summer!
