How to Draw a Salsa Bowl
Draw a salsa bowl in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the rim.
Step 1: The rim
In the middle draw a wide flat oval for the top of the bowl, about a hand wide.
Step 2: The bowl
Start at the left end of the oval. Draw a low U down and round, up to the right end.
Tip Low and wide, like a dip dish.
Step 3: The salsa
Inside the rim draw a second flat oval, a finger inside it, for the salsa.
Step 4: Chunks
In the salsa draw 2 small round tomato chunks, a little diamond of onion, and 2 tiny leaves.
Step 5: Chips on the left
On the left draw a flat chip: a low wide triangle with soft corners. Add a smaller one behind.
Step 6: Chips on the right
On the right draw another flat chip in front of the bowl, and a smaller one behind it.
Step 7: A stripe
Draw a bowed line round the bowl a little under the rim, from the left side to the right side.
Step 8: The table
Draw a line under the bowl and chips from the left edge to the right edge.
Step 9: Cream bowl, yellow band
Go over your lines. Colour the rim and the bottom of the bowl cream, and the band yellow.
Step 10: Tan chips, green leaves
Colour all 4 chips tan and the 2 little leaves green.
Step 11: Red salsa
Colour the salsa and the tomato chunks red around the leaves, leaving the onion white. Your salsa is done!
