How to Draw a Scotch Egg
Draw a Scotch egg in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a plate.
Step 1: A plate
Below the middle draw a long flat oval plate, nearly as wide as the page. Add a second oval inside.
Step 2: A whole scotch egg
On the left of the plate draw a big smooth egg shape, a little wider than tall.
Tip A scotch egg is a boiled egg wrapped in sausage meat and crumbs.
Step 3: The cut half
On the right draw a circle about the same size, sitting on the plate. This is the cut half.
Step 4: The egg inside
In the cut half draw a smaller round for the egg white, with a small round yolk inside it.
Step 5: Crumbs
On the whole egg draw 6 small dots, spread about, for the crumb coating.
Step 6: Pointed leaves
Tuck 2 pointed leaves in a V in front of the whole egg, each with a line up the middle.
Tip Rub out the bit of egg line inside the leaves.
Step 7: A dab of mustard
In front of the cut half draw a small blob of mustard with a pointy top.
Step 8: The table
Draw a line under the plate from well left to well right.
Step 9: White and yellow egg
Colour the egg white white, and the yolk and the mustard yellow.
Step 10: Green leaves, sky plate
Colour the leaves green, then the plate sky blue around the mustard and leaves.
Step 11: Ginger crumb coat
Colour the whole egg ginger around the leaves, and the ring around the white. Add brown crumb dots.
