How to Draw a Gingerbread Cookie Face
Draw a gingerbread cookie face in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a plate.
Step 1: A plate
Below the middle draw a long flat oval plate, with space at each side. Add a second oval inside.
Step 2: The cookie
On the plate draw a big round cookie as big as your fist, its bottom inside the rim.
Step 3: The thin edge
Under the lower half of the cookie draw a second curve just below the first, from side to side.
Step 4: Icing edge
Just inside the cookie's edge draw a wavy ring all the way round. Add a second wavy ring inside it.
Step 5: Candy eyes
Above the middle draw 2 round candy buttons, a finger apart. Give each a black dot and a shine.
Step 6: Gumdrop nose
Between and below the buttons draw a tiny dome for a gumdrop nose.
Step 7: Icing smile
Under the nose draw a wide smile. Join a deeper curve under it, end to end, for an icing band.
Step 8: Candy cheeks
Beside each end of the smile, a little higher, draw a small round candy for a cheek.
Step 9: The table
Draw a table line under the plate, from well left to well right.
Step 10: White icing
Go over your lines. Leave the icing ring, the smile band and the candy eyes white.
Step 11: Sky plate
Colour the plate sky blue, around the cookie.
Step 12: Ginger cookie
Colour the cookie and its thin edge ginger brown, around the icing, eyes, nose and cheeks.
Step 13: Red candies
Colour the nose and the cheeks red, and your gingerbread cookie is done!
