14 steps · Medium · about 11 min

Draw a salad spinner in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the bowl.

Print

  1. Step 1: The bowl

Below the middle draw a wide bowl like a U: start at the top left, stop level on the right.

  2. Step 2: Flat lid

Across the top of the bowl draw a flat lid, a long low hill a little wider than the bowl.

  3. Step 3: 2 big eyes

Low on the bowl draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a shine.

  4. Step 4: Smile and cheeks

Under the eyes draw a wide U smile, and a small flat oval cheek beside each eye.

  5. Step 5: The pump

In the middle of the lid draw a short thick stem, with a big round button on top.

  6. Step 6: Window line

A little above the eyes, draw a line from the left side of the bowl across to the right.

  7. Step 7: The basket

Halfway up to the lid, draw a basket line from side to side, then 7 little holes under it.

  8. Step 8: Lettuce leaves

From the basket line draw 3 frilly lettuce leaves back down to it, each with a line up the middle.

  9. Step 9: Spin arrow

Start beside the button and draw a curved arrow up round to its top, to show it spins.

  10. Step 10: Ground line

Draw a straight ground line under the bowl, from near the left edge across to near the right edge.

  11. Step 11: Sparkles

Draw 4 little sparkle stars around it, 2 up high and 2 down low, not touching it.

  12. Step 12: Pink cheeks, yellow basket

Colour the cheeks pink, and the basket and the 4 sparkles yellow, around the holes.

  13. Step 13: Sky window, grey lid

Colour the window sky blue around the leaves, and the lid and the stem grey.

  14. Step 14: Green bowl, leaf lettuce

Colour the leaves leaf green. Colour the bowl, button and holes green, around the cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
