How to Draw a Mop
Draw a mop in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the handle.
Step 1: The handle
Near the top draw a long thin handle straight down past the middle: 2 close lines with a flat top.
Step 2: Mop head
Under the handle draw a wide floppy mop head, with 7 round string ends along the bottom.
Step 3: 2 big eyes
On the head draw 2 big round eyes, a finger apart. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a shine.
Step 4: The band
Where the handle meets the head draw a short wide band across the join, corner to corner.
Step 5: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile. Add a small oval cheek out beside each end of the smile.
Step 6: String lines
From each gap draw a string line up, stopping under the face. The outside 2 go up to the band.
Step 7: Band line
Draw a line across the middle of the band from side to side.
Step 8: Floor and drops
Under the string ends draw a floor line, side to side. Add 3 little water drops beside the mop.
Step 9: Bubbles and sparkles
Draw 2 soap bubbles beside the mop head, and a sparkle star on each side of the handle.
Step 10: Cream strings
Go over your lines. Colour the mop head cream around the cheeks and the sparkles yellow, leaving the eyes white.
Step 11: Pink cheeks, sky drops
Colour the cheeks pink and the drops and bubbles sky blue.
Step 12: Red band, wood handle
Colour the band red and the handle wood brown, and your mop is ready to clean!
