How to Draw a Rockstar

Draw a rockstar in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.

Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper, in the middle, draw an egg head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave room on the left for the guitar neck.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 small eyes with black dots below the middle of the head. Add a tiny nose and a smile.
Step 3: Spiky hair
Start by the left eyebrow. Draw tall spikes over the head, down to the right eyebrow. Add a curved hairline.
Step 4: Neck and T-shirt
From a short neck, draw a T-shirt down to the waist, with 2 short sleeves. Add a lightning bolt.
Step 5: Two arms
From each sleeve draw a bent arm: left out to the side, right down beside the body, then in.
Tip Make each arm a little thinner at the wrist.
Step 6: Mitten hands
On the left wrist, draw a mitten pointing out. On the right wrist, draw a mitten pointing in.
Step 7: Electric guitar body
Behind the right hand, draw a pointy guitar body with 2 horns, tipped up left. Add a pickup bar.
Step 8: Neck, head and strings
From the guitar, draw a neck up to the left, past the hand, to a rounded head. Add 2 strings.
Step 9: Trousers, boots and ground
From the shirt hem, draw 2 trouser legs down, back up to the hem. Add boots and a ground line.
Step 10: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour the face, neck, arms and hands peach, with pink cheeks. Keep the eyes white. Go over your lines.
Step 11: Red and brown guitar
Colour the guitar body red and its neck and head brown, around the hands and arms. Leave the pickup white.
Step 12: Yellow bolt, blue jeans
Colour the lightning bolt yellow and the trousers blue around the guitar.
Step 13: Black shirt, hair, boots
Colour the T-shirt black around the bolt, arms and guitar, and the hair and boots black. Go over your lines.
