How to Draw a Chibi Princess

Draw a chibi princess in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big round head.

Step 1: Big round head
Near the top, draw a big wide egg for the head. Leave room above it for a crown.
Tip A chibi head is as tall as the whole body.
Step 2: Huge eyes
In the lower half of the head, draw 2 tall oval eyes. Add an iris, a pupil and 2 shines.
Tip Leave a gap one eye wide between the eyes.
Step 3: Smile and lashes
Under the eyes draw a small U smile. Flick one short lash from the outer corner of each eye.
Step 4: Swept hair
Draw hair over the top and down to each shoulder. Sweep a fringe across the forehead from one side.
Tip Rub out the head line inside the hair.
Step 5: Little crown
On top of the hair draw a crown: a curved band with 3 points. Add a round gem.
Step 6: Simple gown
Draw a top and a wide bell skirt. Start waist and hem lines on one edge, stop on the other.
Tip The gown starts under the chin. It is narrow at the waist and widest at the floor.
Step 7: Puffy sleeves
On each shoulder draw a small round puffy sleeve.
Step 8: Short arms
From each sleeve draw a short arm that bends at the elbow. End it in a mitten hand with thumb.
Step 9: Shoes and floor
Draw 2 round shoe tips peeking under the gown. Draw a floor line under them, from left to right.
Step 10: Peach skin
Colour 2 pink cheeks. Colour the face around them, the arms and the hands peach. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Yellow crown
Colour the crown yellow, around the round gem.
Step 12: Pink trims
Colour the gem, the puffy sleeves, the hem band and the shoes pink.
Step 13: Teal gown
Colour the rest of the gown teal. Colour the irises teal around the pupils.
Step 14: Brown hair
Colour the hair and fringe brown, around the crown. Your chibi princess is done!
