How to Draw Rock Paper Scissors
Draw rock paper scissors in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: three palms.
Step 1: Three palms
Across the middle of your paper, draw 3 soft rounded squares in a row, with gaps between them.
Tip Make all 3 the same size. Each one is the palm of a hand.
Step 2: Rock: curled fingers
Start at the left end of the first palm's top. Draw 4 short finger bumps. Stop at the right end.
Tip Short bumps are fingers curled into a fist.
Step 3: Rock: thumb
Start high on the palm's left edge. Draw a thumb across the front and back to the left edge.
Tip The thumb lies just under the 4 fingers.
Step 4: Paper: four fingers
Start top left on the middle palm. Draw 4 tall fingers, stop top right. Add 3 lines between them.
Tip Rub out the top of the palm, so the fingers and palm join up.
Step 5: Paper: thumb
Start low on the palm's left edge. Draw a thumb sticking out, and stop higher up. Add a palm line.
Tip Rub out the palm line inside the thumb.
Step 6: Scissors: two fingers
Start at the top left of the last palm. Draw 2 tall fingers in a V. Stop past the middle.
Tip Rub out the palm line under the 2 fingers.
Step 7: Scissors: curled fingers
Start where the V stops. Draw 2 short finger bumps along the palm top. Stop at the right end.
Step 8: Scissors: thumb
Start on the palm's left edge. Draw a thumb across the front, up to the curled fingers, and back.
Tip The thumb holds the 2 curled fingers down.
Step 9: Wrists and cuffs
Under each palm, draw 2 short wrist lines. Across the bottom of each wrist, draw a wide rounded cuff.
Step 10: Peach hands
Colour all 3 hands and their wrists peach, or any skin colour you like.
Step 11: Red and yellow cuffs
Colour the first cuff red and the middle cuff yellow.
Step 12: Blue cuff
Colour the last cuff blue. Go over your lines to finish your rock, paper and scissors.
