How to Draw a Trick or Treating
Draw a trick or treating in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: ghost sheet.
Step 1: Ghost sheet
On the left draw a ghost: a round top, a bump for each arm and a wavy bottom edge.
Tip It is a child under a bed sheet, so make it taller than half your paper.
Step 2: Pumpkin hat
On the right draw an egg head, level with the ghost's head. Add a bumpy cap and a stem.
Tip The cap sits on the top of the head like half a pumpkin.
Step 3: Ghost face
On the ghost draw 2 tall oval eye holes and a smile hole. Colour them black, leaving a tiny shine.
Step 4: Happy face
Under the cap draw 2 oval eyes with black dots looking at the ghost, and a smile.
Step 5: Pumpkin suit
Under the chin draw a big round pumpkin body. Add 2 curved lines from its top to its bottom.
Step 6: Arms and legs
Draw an arm from each side of the pumpkin, down to a round hand. Add 2 short legs underneath.
Step 7: Shoes and ground
Draw 2 round shoes under each child. Start at the left and draw a ground line. Stop at the right.
Step 8: Treat buckets
Under each outside hand draw a bucket, wider at the top. Add a handle that loops up to the hand.
Step 9: The front door
Start behind the ghost. Draw a tall door up, across and down to the ground. Add a window and knob.
Tip Lift your pencil wherever a child is in front of the door.
Step 10: Peach skin
Colour the face, arms and hands peach. Colour a pink circle on each cheek.
Tip Keep the eyes white.
Step 11: Yellow window
Colour the window and the door knob yellow. Leave the ghost's sheet white.
Step 12: Orange and green
Colour the pumpkin suit, the cap and both buckets orange. Colour the stem and the legs green.
Step 13: Blue door
Colour the door blue, around the children. Colour all 4 shoes brown. Trick or treat!
