How to Draw a Dwarf
Draw a dwarf in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: head and ears.
Step 1: Head and ears
Near the top, draw an egg head. On each side, add a C ear that starts and stops on it.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 oval eyes with black dots and a shine. Add a small U nose and a smile under it.
Step 3: Pointed cap
Over the head, draw a tall cap whose soft point flops to one side. Curve the bottom across the forehead.
Step 4: Long beard
From the cheeks, draw a big rounded beard down onto the chest. Add a curve under the mouth.
Step 5: Shoulders and tunic
Under the beard, draw round shoulders. Lower down, draw the tunic sides and hem, from armpit round to armpit.
Tip Leave a gap under each shoulder for a sleeve.
Step 6: Belt and buckle
Draw 2 lines across the tunic, near the bottom, for the belt. Add a small square buckle.
Step 7: Long sleeves
From each shoulder and armpit, draw a sleeve down to the wrist, bending softly at the elbow. Add a cuff.
Step 8: Mitten hands
At the bottom of each sleeve, draw a round mitten with a little thumb pointing in.
Step 9: Short legs
Under the tunic, draw 2 lines for each leg. Start on the hem and stop where the boots go.
Step 10: Boots and ground
Under each leg, draw a tall boot with the toe pointing out. Draw a long ground line under the boots.
Step 11: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour the face, ears and hands peach, with a pink circle on each cheek. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Ginger beard, red cap
Colour the beard ginger and the tall cap red.
Step 13: Tunic, belt and boots
Colour the tunic and sleeves green, the belt and legs brown, and the boots black. Go over your lines.
