How to Draw Rock Candy
Draw rock candy in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big crystal.
Step 1: Big crystal
In the middle of your paper draw a big chunky crystal with 6 straight sides.
Tip Leave room above and below for more crystals and a stick.
Step 2: Bottom crystal
Below it, a little to the left, draw a smaller crystal tucked behind the big one.
Step 3: Left crystal
On the left draw another crystal, tucked behind the first two.
Step 4: Upper crystal
Above the big crystal draw one more, tucked behind its top.
Step 5: Upper left crystal
On the upper left draw a crystal tucked behind the ones it touches.
Step 6: Top crystals
On top draw a crystal tucked behind, then a little one peeking over it.
Step 7: The stick
From the bottom crystal draw 2 close lines straight down. Join them with a round end.
Step 8: Shiny faces
Inside each crystal draw one line beside its upper left edge, from side to side.
Tip Each line makes a thin flat face that catches the light.
Step 9: Sparkles
Around the candy draw 3 little sparkles, each with 4 points.
Step 10: The ground
Draw a short ground line under the stick, a little left to a little right.
Step 11: Light pink faces
Colour the thin face of every crystal light pink. Press very softly.
Step 12: Pink crystals
Colour the rest of each crystal a deeper pink, around the light pink faces.
Step 13: Cream stick, yellow sparkles
Go over your lines. Colour the stick cream and the sparkles yellow, and your rock candy is done!
