How to Draw a Robot Astronaut Cat

13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Draw a robot astronaut cat in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: space helmet.

Print

  1. Step 1: Space helmet

Near the top, draw a big circle for the space helmet. Add a short shine curve inside, top left.

  2. Step 2: Robot cat head

Inside the helmet, draw a box head with 2 pointy ears on top. Add a small triangle inside each ear.

Tip Leave a gap between the head and the helmet, and all round each small triangle.

  3. Step 3: Two big eyes

Above the middle of the head, draw 2 big round eyes. Add a black dot and a shine to each.

Tip Leave a gap between the eyes.

  4. Step 4: Nose, smile, whiskers

Under the eyes, draw a small black triangle nose with a w smile. Add 2 short whiskers on each cheek.

Tip Keep the whiskers inside the head.

  5. Step 5: Antenna

Start in the middle of the top of the head. Draw a short line up, stopping at a round ball.

  6. Step 6: Neck and collar

Under the chin, draw a short neck. Across the bottom of the helmet, draw a flat oval collar ring.

Tip Rub out the helmet line inside the ring.

  7. Step 7: Suit body

Start under the left of the helmet. Draw a round suit body down, across and up to the right.

Tip The body is a little narrower than the helmet.

  8. Step 8: Arms and gloves

From under the helmet, draw an arm down each side, bending in to a round glove with a thumb.

Tip The arm gets thinner at the wrist. Rub out the body line inside each arm.

  9. Step 9: Knees, boots, ground

Low on each side, draw a round knee poking out, with a fat boot under it. Rule the ground.

Tip Rub out the lines where the knees, body and boots overlap.

  10. Step 10: Chest panel

On the chest, draw a small rounded box for the panel. Inside, draw a round button and a square button.

  11. Step 11: Yellow and light blue

Colour the antenna ball and the 2 buttons yellow. Colour the glass light blue, around the head.

  12. Step 12: Pink and grey

Colour the inner ears pink. Colour the head and neck grey around them and the nose. Leave the eyes white.

  13. Step 13: Blue suit parts

Go over your lines. Colour the collar, gloves, boots and panel blue, around the buttons. Leave the suit white.
