How to Draw a Yellow Sponge
Draw a yellow sponge in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: sponge block.
Step 1: Sponge block
Across the middle of your paper, draw a big wide box, with soft round corners at the bottom.
Step 2: Scrubby layer
Near the top of the box, draw a straight line across from the left side to the right side.
Step 3: Two big eyes
In the big part under the line, draw 2 big egg eyes side by side, above the middle.
Step 4: Black dots
Colour a big black dot in each eye, leaving a small white shine at the top.
Step 5: Happy smile
Under the eyes, draw a U smile from under one eye to under the other.
Step 6: The top
From the top left corner, draw a line up and in, across, then down to the top right corner.
Tip Keep the top thin, you only see a little of it.
Step 7: Sponge holes
Around the face, draw 5 little oval holes: 1 near each corner and 1 under the smile.
Step 8: Ground line
Draw a long flat line under the sponge, from past the left side to past the right side.
Step 9: Yellow sponge
Go over your lines. Colour the sponge under the line yellow, around the holes. Leave the eyes white.
Step 10: Orange holes
Colour the 5 little holes orange, so they look deep.
Step 11: Green scrubber
Colour the top and the scrubby strip green. Your sponge is ready to scrub!
