How to Draw a Robin Hood
Draw a robin hood in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: head and ears.
Step 1: Head and ears
Left of the middle draw an egg head. Add a C ear on each side, starting and stopping on it.
Tip Leave room above for a hat and on the right for a tall bow.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 big eyes in the middle with dots and shines. Add a U nose and a smile.
Step 3: Hat and feather
Draw a brim across the forehead with a long point on the left. Add a cap and a tall feather.
Step 4: Shoulder cape
Draw 2 neck lines down from the chin, then stop. Under them draw a short cape with 5 round bumps.
Step 5: Tunic and belt
From under the cape draw the tunic sides down to a hem of 5 round bumps. Add a belt across.
Step 6: Hand on hip
From the cape's left corner draw a sleeve out to the elbow, then back to a fist on the belt.
Tip The elbow points out to the side, like a triangle.
Step 7: Bow arm
From the cape's right corner draw a sleeve sloping down to the right. Stop at a round fist.
Tip The fist is closed because it is holding the bow.
Step 8: The bow
Draw a tall thin crescent through the fist, down to the ground. Join its tips with a straight string.
Tip The bow curves away from Robin Hood, and the string is on his side.
Step 9: Legs
From under the bumpy hem draw 2 legs down to below the knees, with a gap between them.
Step 10: Boots and ground
Under each leg draw a tall boot with the toe pointing out and a cuff line. Add a ground line.
Step 11: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour 2 pink cheeks. Colour the face, ears, neck and both fists peach. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Red feather, green tunic
Colour the feather red. Colour the tunic, both sleeves and the legs light green.
Step 13: Dark green and brown
Colour the hat and cape dark green. Colour the belt, the boots and the bow brown. Go over your lines.
