How to Draw a Coconut
Draw a coconut in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the coconut.
Step 1: The coconut
In the middle of your paper, a little left, draw a big lumpy round as big as your fist.
Step 2: Three eyes
Near the top of the round draw 3 small circles in a little triangle for the coconut's eyes.
Tip Every coconut has 3 little eyes on one end.
Step 3: Hairy top
Along the top of the round draw 5 short wispy curves, each starting on the edge and flicking outward.
Step 4: A shine
Inside the left side of the round draw a thin oval sliver for a shine, a finger inside the edge.
Step 5: A half coconut
Low on the right draw a palm-sized round in front of the coconut, covering part of it.
Tip The half sits in front, so the big one hides behind it.
Step 6: White inside
Draw a second round a finger inside the half for the white flesh.
Step 7: Coconut water
Draw a small round in the middle of the white ring for the coconut water.
Step 8: The ground
Draw a ground line under the coconut and the half, just touching their bottoms, from well left to well right.
Tip Both rest on the line; do not draw through them.
Step 9: White flesh, cream water
Colour the ring inside the half white and the middle cream.
Step 10: Brown coconut
Go over your lines, then colour the coconut and the rim of the half brown, around the white parts.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a coconut, drawn by you.
