How to Draw Garlic
Draw garlic in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the middle clove.
Step 1: The middle clove
In the middle of your paper draw a tall bump, much taller than wide, narrow at the top.
Tip Like a tall egg standing up, with a pointed top.
Step 2: Fat sides
Start near the middle bump's top. Draw a fat C out left, stop near its bottom. Do the right too.
Tip The side bumps are fatter and rounder than the middle one.
Step 3: The neck
Start on the bulb's left shoulder. Draw a line up to a point, then back down to the right shoulder.
Step 4: A loose clove
Right of the bulb draw one clove standing on the ground, like a plump teardrop with a flat bottom.
Tip Round and plump, like a fat raindrop standing up.
Step 5: A clove lying down
Start on the standing clove. Draw a smaller clove lying behind it, pointed on the right, back to the start.
Step 6: Streaks
Down the left bump draw a thin streak, pointed at both ends. Add one down the standing clove.
Step 7: A shine
Inside the middle bump, near the top, draw a thin oval sliver for a shine.
Step 8: The ground
Draw a ground line under the bulb and the cloves, just touching their bottoms, from far left to far right.
Step 9: Cream garlic
Go over your lines, then colour the bulb and both cloves cream, leaving the shine and streaks white.
Step 10: Tan neck, purple streaks
Colour the neck tan and the 2 streaks purple.
