How to Draw a Pumpkin Patch
Draw a pumpkin patch in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the big pumpkin.
Step 1: The big pumpkin
Below the middle of your paper draw a tall bump, taller than wide, with a shallow dip on top.
Tip This is the middle of the big pumpkin.
Step 2: Its side bumps
Start under each shoulder of the bump. Draw a big fat C out and round, back to the bump below.
Step 3: Little left pumpkin
Low on the left draw a small pumpkin the same way, tucked behind. Start and stop on its middle bump.
Tip Do not draw across the big pumpkin.
Step 4: Little right pumpkin
Low on the right do the same: a tall bump, a fat C each side, starting and stopping on it.
Step 5: Three stems
On top of each pumpkin, in the dip, draw a short stubby stem with a flat top.
Step 6: Curly vines
From the big stem, swing a vine up right into a swirl. Add a smaller one from the left stem.
Step 7: Leaves
On each vine draw a fat leaf pointing up and out, with a bowed line down its middle.
Step 8: The ground
Draw a ground line under all 3 pumpkins, just touching their bottoms, from well left to well right.
Step 9: Grass
Start on the ground line at each end and draw 2 fat grass blades up to a point.
Step 10: Orange pumpkins
Go over your lines, then colour all 3 pumpkins orange.
Step 11: Green leaves and grass
Colour the 2 leaves and the grass blades green.
Step 12: Brown stems
Colour the 3 stems brown, and your pumpkin patch is ready for picking!
