How to Draw a Road Barrier
Draw a road barrier in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the board.
Step 1: The board
Across the middle of your paper draw a long flat plank, almost the whole width of the paper.
Step 2: Slanted stripes
Across the board draw slanted lines, all leaning the same way and evenly spaced.
Step 3: The ground
Well below the board draw a long ground line, from near the left edge to near the right edge.
Step 4: Outer legs
Under each end, start on the board and draw a leg leaning out, down to the ground.
Step 5: Inner legs
Start on the board again and draw a second leg under each end, leaning in, down to the ground.
Step 6: Lamp box
On the middle of the board draw a small box, starting and stopping on the board's top line.
Step 7: The lamp
From the top of the box draw a round lamp bump, starting and ending on the box.
Step 8: Yellow lamp
Go over your lines, then colour the round lamp yellow, like it is blinking.
Step 9: Orange stripes
Colour every other slanted stripe orange, leaving the ones between white.
Step 10: Slate legs and box
Colour the 4 legs and the lamp box slate grey. Your road barrier is done!
