How to Draw a Hair Straightener
Draw a hair straightener in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the bottom arm.
Step 1: The bottom arm
Draw a long flat sausage leaning up to the right. Make its left end flat and its right end round.
Tip Make it about 6 times as long as it is wide.
Step 2: Two big eyes
Near the flat end draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a black dot in each, with a shine.
Step 3: A smile
Under the eyes draw a U smile from eye to eye.
Step 4: The top arm
From the flat end's top corner draw a matching arm leaning up a little more, like an open beak.
Tip The 2 arms touch at the left and open wider towards the right.
Step 5: The hinge
Over both flat ends draw a rounded cap, a little taller than the 2 arms together.
Step 6: Bottom hot plate
Along the top edge of the bottom arm draw a long thin strip, from the middle towards the tip.
Step 7: Top hot plate
Draw a matching thin strip along the bottom edge of the top arm, facing the first one.
Tip Leave a gap between the 2 plates. That is where the hair goes.
Step 8: A little light
On the top arm, near the hinge, draw a small circle for the on light.
Step 9: Cord and plug
From the hinge's round end draw a wavy cord down and across to a little plug with 2 prongs.
Step 10: Yellow light, grey plates
Go over your lines. Colour the little light yellow and the 2 thin plates light grey.
Step 11: Pink arms
Colour both arms pink, around the yellow light. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Dark grey parts
Colour the hinge and the plug dark grey. Your hair straightener is ready!
