How to Draw a Window Seat
Draw a window seat in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: bench and cushion.
Step 1: Bench and cushion
Below the middle draw a long box for the bench, with a thick flat cushion a little wider on top.
Step 2: The big pillow
On the left of the cushion draw a big square pillow standing on it, its corners soft.
Step 3: The face
On the pillow draw 2 big egg eyes with black dots. Add a wide U smile and 2 cheeks.
Step 4: The window
Behind the pillow draw a tall window box down to the cushion.
Step 5: Window panes
Inside the window draw a line down to the pillow and one from side to side, for 4 panes.
Step 6: The small pillow
Beside the big pillow draw a smaller pillow leaning on it.
Step 7: An open book
Right of the pillows draw an open book, 2 curved pages on a thin cover, with 2 lines per page.
Step 8: Ground line
Start a little in from the left edge. Draw a straight ground line underneath, stopping near the right edge.
Step 9: Sparkles
Draw a few little four-point sparkles around it to make it shine.
Step 10: Wood bench
Go over your lines, then colour the bench wood brown and the small pillow and sparkles yellow.
Step 11: Sky window, blue cushion
Colour the window panes a light sky blue and the cushion blue.
Step 12: Red pillow, pink cheeks
Colour the big pillow and the book cover red and the cheeks pink. Leave the eyes and pages white.
