How to Draw Riding a Suitcase

13 steps · Tricky · about 10 min

Draw riding a suitcase in 13 steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.

Print

  1. Step 1: The head

Above the middle of your paper draw an egg for the head, narrower at the chin. Leave room below.

Tip The kid is a bit smaller than usual, sitting on top of the suitcase.

  2. Step 2: The face

Draw 2 small eyes, a nose and a smile. Add 2 C ears, each starting and ending on the head.

  3. Step 3: Woolly hat

Start left, above the eyes. Draw the hat over the top, down to the right. Add a band and fluffy pompom.

  4. Step 4: Neck and T-shirt

Draw 2 neck lines. From the left one draw a T-shirt round to the right one, right sleeve pointing up.

  5. Step 5: Arms

Left arm: from the sleeve, reach out to the wrist. Right arm: from the sleeve, bend up beside the head.

Tip The left fist will grip the handle; the right hand waves.

  6. Step 6: Hands

Draw an egg fist on the left wrist. On the right, an open hand with 4 fingers and a thumb.

  7. Step 7: Knees, legs, sneakers

From the shirt's left corner draw both knees as one wide bump round to the right, then legs and sneakers.

  8. Step 8: Suitcase on wheels

Under the kid draw a long suitcase on 2 wheels, a zip line inside it, and a ground line.

  9. Step 9: Handles and star

From the case top draw a tall U handle into the left fist. Add a carry handle and a star.

Tip The handle passes behind the fist, so the fist grips it.

  10. Step 10: Peach skin, pink cheeks

Colour the face, neck, arms, hands and legs peach, with a pink circle on each cheek. Go over your lines!

    Tip Keep the eyes white.

  11. Step 11: Yellow T-shirt, green shorts

Colour the T-shirt and the star yellow, and the knees green for shorts.

  12. Step 12: Red suitcase, blue hat

Colour the suitcase red around the legs, sneakers and star, and the woolly hat and pompom blue.

  13. Step 13: Grey handle, black wheels

Colour the pull handle grey and the 2 wheels black.
